TED NUGENT Asked to ‘Tone It Down’ for South Dakota State Fair

According to the Detroit Free Press, South Dakota state fair officials have asked Ted Nugent to tone things down for a show at the S.D. State Fair on Sunday. This has come about after a video surfaced of the outspoken rocker slamming Democratic presidential candidates Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama.

Susan Hayward, who manages the fair, told KSFY-TV in Sioux Falls that officials contacted Nugent's representatives yesterday and reminded them that the fair is a family-oriented event.

"They were very courteous in responding immediately in assuring us that that's exactly what we would have," Hayward says.

Video footage of Ted Nugent having a few choice words for Clinton and Obama during a recent concert can be viewed below. With machine guns in his hands, a camouflaged Nugent yelled, "Obama, he's a piece of shit, and I told him to suck on my machine gun. ... And then I was in New York. I said, 'Hey Hillary, you might want to ride one of these into the sunset.' "He also went off on Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer before saying, "Any questions?" and shouting, "Freedom!"

Nugent has always been an outspoken supporter of the second amendment, which is the right to bear arms. He’s also very vocal about his anti-drug and alcohol views.
